This is my mom's recipe.
Ingredients
  • 2 Large tall cans pork & beans (53 oz each)
  • 1 Box dark brown sugar add all but 1 inch (12 oz of brown sugar 24 oz.)
  • Ketchup add all but 3 inches (18 oz of ketchup)
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • ½ lb Bacon
Instructions
  1. Mix pork & beans, brown sugar, vinegar.
  2. Pour into glass casserole dish.
  3. Cover with ½ pound bacon.
  4. Cover with foil and bake 1 hour at 350.
  5. Remove foil cover for the last 2 hours and raise temp to 400.
