  • Ham Bone
  • 8 Cups of Water
  • 1 Large Carrot sliced and cubed
  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 2 Clove of Garlic diced
  • Pepper Corns about 25
  • 1 Pkg 1 lb of Split Peas, washed


  • Put all items in a large pot and bring to a boil.
  • Turn down and simmer 1 to 2 hours until soup thicken.
  • Take out ham bone and let cool.
  • ake off all the meat left on the bone and place back in to the pot.
  • Add salt to taste.
