  • Ham Bone
  • 8 Cups of Water
  • 1 Large Carrot, sliced and cubed
  • 1 Medium Onion
  • 2 Clove of Garlic, diced
  • Pepper Corns, about 25
  • 1 Pkg (1 lb) of Split Peas, washed
  1. Put all items in a large pot and bring to a boil.
  2. Turn down and simmer 1 to 2 hours until soup thicken.
  3. Take out ham bone and let cool.
  4. ake off all the meat left on the bone and place back in to the pot.
  5. Add salt to taste.
