Well today was my last day at work. It was both exciting and of course depressing. Though I have only been working for the City of Salt Lake for 20 months, it was such a great place to work. I will miss the Information Management Services (IMS) people the most. I was one of four Technology Solutions Managers for IMS so I was able to see many aspects of the city and how valuable IMS is to the internal workings of the city. One of my projects was the implementation of a Citizen Relationship Management (CRM) system to help the citizens of Salt Lake navigate the vast services that the city has to offer and a way for them to communicate their problems to the right group to get resolved. It was just getting off the ground as I left but has so much potential. I will continue to follow this project as it matures.
