Our next stop was to the home of Cabela’s. It all started with Dick Cabela selling fishing flies at his father’s furniture store in Chappell, which didn’t pan out so he started to sell fishing equipment through the mail, which did take off. He soon moved the operations to Sidney, NE.
There wasn’t a lot to do here, but I needed the time to repair our dryer as the belt had broken the week before. It was a major operation taking the dryer out from the back closet because it appears they built the motorhome around the dryer! It took me a full day getting it out but only an hour to replace the belt.
The RV park was nice and quiet, but we did find a Runza restaurant and they had these sandwiches which are fantastic! So if your ever traveling to or through Nebraska you need to stop at a Runza and try their Runza sandwiches!
